PC Makes Noises

I have recently bought a new Dell with XP. My PC will
make random noises...It whistles, barks, and a makes door
slamming noise with squealing.....What is this and how
can I stop it?

Have you considered doing an exorcism? :>

On a more serious note, these noises may be associated with various events,
such as mouse-clicks, maximizing screens, Web navigation, etc.

Go into Control Panel and double-click on the Sounds and Audio Devices icon.
Click on the Sounds tab and see what events have sounds assigned to them.
Deselect, as appropriate.

The door slamming and squealing sounds are from AOL instant messenger. The
other sounds probably come from some program you have running.

LOL. It also sounds like Bill is running AIM/AOL and/or in an
AOL chatroom.
