Password recovery floppy if you have no floppy drive

I have a laptop with XP Pro and no floppy drive. Is there a way to
create a password recovery disk? I searched the archives and elsewhere
with Google, but I didn't see any suggestions.

Thanks,

Bill

Thanks, Mary and Wesley. I hadn't discovered the Recovery Console, and
it's good to know it exists.

That didn't seem to solve my problem, though. Wesley, you came up with
one problem on XP, but I don't have that symptom. My computer says
"Your computer does not have a removable disk drive. A removable medium
is required to use this feature." Since the tip from Microsoft says
only to use it if XP says to insert a floppy in drive C, I don't think
that hotfix applies. I checked the knowledgebase with <<password
floppy>> but didn't see anything that pertained.

Other ideas?

Bill;

Do a Google Search for: Password Reset Disk

I found a couple that might be of interest.

Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, Bootdisk / CD
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html

================================================
Forgot your NT admin password
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

[[Try using this! Works like a charm and works on 98/2000/xp... I know,
tried them all.

Best thing, reset the password and when it asks you for a new password (the
script), type *, this will blank out the password.

I downloaded the ISO and burned it to a cd, then rebooted the PC using the
cd i burned and it automaticaly starts the script, simple yes/no stuff.

Check it out!
