partition magic 8

trying to install partitioin magic 8 and get eroor 1316 followed by
1603 fatal error 'when trying to read a msi.chm ' file.
i have little expertise off the beaten path of installing software but
really want to learn about my partitions.
any suggestions what to do to get past the installation snafu?

To install you need to logon as Administrator. Page 4 of Partition Magic
Guide.

It is true that Partion Magic 8 requires a patch to be used in Windows XP.
It is a later version like 8.01 something like that.
