Is there any utility available to partition and format a hard disk for
primarily backup of WinXP NTFS bootable OS partition and FAT32 data
partition?

I want to use an old HD with Ghost and backup my bootable WinXP Pro
NTFS partition and FAT32 data partition to it. IIRC the WinXP Pro CD
will format the partition, but you are required to install to the
formatted partition. So what I'd like to find is a free utility which
will create and format NTFS and FAT32 partitions. Any ideals? TIA!

If you are using Ghost to image an NTFS XP partition and a FAT32 data
partition you don't need to restore those images to exactly the same type of
formatted partition. You can restore to a blank drive and GHOST will create
the partition and it's file system on the restore.
