Outlook won't stay open

I use Outlook 2003 on a new laptop with Windows Media Edition. About once a
week, when I try to open Outlook (defaults to inbox) the screen flashes with
the inbox but instantly closes Outlook. I have all the updates and run
antivirus, etc but the only cure is to use the original CD and run the repair
function. I don'thave time on the road for such repairs and need to find
what is causing this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks

Does it load successfully if you try to open directly afterwards?
What is logged to the Event Viewer regarding this?
