Outlook exits instead of minimizing to task bar

In Outlook 2003 under XP, if I minimize the session, it completely
disappears almost as if I had selected Exit (X). The session is no longer
visible on my Task bar.

When I restart it from the Quick Start icon, it opens immediately without
the splash screen, but always goes to the Inbox instead of staying in the
folder / view I was in.

This only started after I upgraded to SP2. Anyone know how to control this
behaviour?

look in the system tray area and click on the outlook icon - you have it set
to minimize to tray.
