outlook changes my email account to default account automatically

I use an email account that is not my default and send an email and outlook
sends it from my default account instead

When you are ready to send the email, do you hit the "Accounts" button next
to "Send" to tell Outlook which account to send the email from?

yes, i pick one of the accounts and it automatically changes it to my default
when send/receive is clicked.

when this happens, the send receive goes through a receive and send process
for all the accounts selected for the send/receive process and then does an
extra send from my default account and changes the email account from the one
I selected to the default account.
