Have you been synchronising with a PDA or phone? That's what usually causes
duplicates. Check the Synch software settings.

Other than synchronising with mapped network drives (nothing to do with
Outllook I think) I do not sync with PDA or phone.

The tasks are one in the same. If I delete one of them the other deletes.
Same when I create a new task, 1 task to entries. This also occurs when I
flag an email.

do you have the same pst listed twice in your profile? Ctrl+6 to switch to
folder list view to check.

The .pst data files that I have are:
Business Contact Manager (which I don't use)
Personal Folders (work email folder)
Crosslake (personal email .pst folder)

I notice if I close the Crosslake .pst the problem is fixed but once I open
this .pst file it comes back. How do I fix this?

Problem solved, I noticed in the properties section a check box for "display
reminders and tasks from this folder in the to-do bar". I un-checked this
and now have no problem.

Thanks,
