My optical mouse lights on even after I shut my computer down. It's still on.
I have to pull the cord out of the outlet to turn it off. What's the problem?
Many thanks in advance~

Your motherboard is still supplying power to the port (usually so that you
can power the computer back up with the said device).

To disable this, you'll probalby need to turn off Wake on Mouse (or Wake on
USB action) in your bios.

The best place to look for where to do this is in your motherboard
documentation, as it'll have the most accurate instructions for your system.

Thank you for you help. But "Wake on Mouse" and "Wake on USB action" is
already disabled. What else can I try?

For some motherboards, manipulation of jumpers on the motherboard is
necessary to completely cut off the flow of power to the ports when the
computer is in an off state.

Again, check your motherboard's documentation for details.
