Opening Outlook 2003

I have just upgraded to Office 2003 and in the case of Outlook I am having
trouble opening it. When I click on the icon the program states in the lower
left hand corner “Downloading from site: Outlook:today†then after about 90
seconds the program will function. Except for the internet, I am not on a
network. My Microsoft Office is on my laptop. Can I speed this up?
