When I click to open the browser I get the:

Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. Blah Blah Blah
And at the bottom of the pop-up is "Send error
report" "Don't send error report.

for a while i could just unplug the internet connection
(cable) and plug it back up and it would work for a few
days, now that doesn't even work.

i can go to guest (XP) and the browser opens fine?

any help, thanks gordo

----------------------------------------------------

When you click the Internet Explorer icon, window may flash a second and quits. Or, it may show an Error-Reporting dialog. This may be due to a malware Browser Helper Object which causes Internet Explorer process to terminate. If you see the Error-Reporting dialog, click "to see what data this report contains" and identify the Module Name causing this error. In most cases, it may be the spyware DLL. Therefore, reinstalling Internet Explorer [in case of a spyware DLL] may not help.

To test with: Disable third-party browser extensions in Internet
Explorer
1. Click Start, Run, and type inetcpl.cpl. [or control inetcpl.cpl]
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, clear the Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) check box.
4. Restart Internet Explorer.

You're welcome, Gordo. And, you need to carry out the steps from section: "*Then, you need to eliminate the parasites*", as it may be caused by parasites.
