Office XP installation trouble

My computer crashed while installing Windows XP SP1
Got a brand new hard drive, formatted, installed Windows XP Professional
Now I'm trying to install Office XP Professional (Faculty's copy from a University), and I get the following error message
"ERROR 1305: Setup cannot read file C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\1033\MSOW10.AW. Check your connection to the network or CD-rom drive.

I've checked validation of the CD using procedures in "help", and there seem to be no problem with the CD
 
The file is part of the answer wizards setup. Its possible the disc ha
a scratch on it and it can't be read. If your not doing it already do
custom install and leave out the answer wizard
