Oem reinstall after hard drive failure

I am installing windows xp media center on an old hard drive on my pc to
replace windows 2000 professional. If that hard drive fails then I will
obviously need to buy another one and perform a reinstall. But, of course, I
would not have the ability to unintall from the first one. Likewise, I would
likely trash the motherboard at the same time with a new one.

Would I be dead in the water with this situation? Thanks Bob P.

You would need to purchase another Windows
Media Center license since that license is only
available as OEM and is forever tied to the very
first computer it is installed and activated on.
