OE Removing Attachments

I keep getting emails with attachments where the
attachment is not available. In the location where the
file name of the attachment would normally be, OE puts a
message reading "OE has removed the following unsafe
attachment". Mostly this happens on emails sent to me
from AOL subscribers where they appear to be trying to
forward something.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there
something the AOL senders can do to make the attahcment
available?

Outlook has two lists that it uses to block certain kinds
of attachments. The primary list can't be changed so if
the AOL users are sending a file with an extension that's
on that list it's not going to get there.
If a file extension has been placed on the secondary list,
it can be removed if it's the same one as the AOL users
are trying to send.
Also, you may try getting them to package it up as
something like a .zip file and check to see if it gets
there.

In OE go to Tools/Options. Click on "security" tab.
Uncheck the box that says "Do not allow attachments to be
saved or openedthat could potentially be a virus". Click
OK
