nVidia driver recommended?

It's been a couple of years and I haven't upgraded my video driver
(fear, ignorance, inertia!). My graphics card is 64MB NVidia Geforce2
MX/MX 400. At present, on my Windows XP PC, I have version 2.1.8.3,
according to Device Manager. I can't point to any problems that are
*definitely* due to my video software, but I have a few vague
suspicions. Is there a more recent, well-proven version anyone can
recommend please? If so, will I notice any performance or other
diffrences?

Thanks.

Hi

I'm using version 56.72 without any problems:

Hi Terry,

I would rather bank on, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I really would.
Good luck!

Same too Will, I have a 128MB Jetway FX5200 and also use the 56.72
drivers-no problems at all.

I would highly recommend getting the latest drivers from NVidia (go to their
website). They do an excellent job of improving their drivers and generally
have few if any bugs when they release a new version.
