NullReferenceException form design

Hello all.

I've seen this posted a lot, but found no reply or explanation.

After a clean installation of Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect
2003, on a Win2k SP4, i tried to create a simple C# and C++ .NET
project. The projects where generated OK, but i wasn't able to open a
form design, since i was getting this error complaining about
"NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an
object." and a red cross (X) appeared on the form.

Could someone explain or give me a hint about what's wrong?

Thank you.

Stefan Pascal
P.S.: After installing the .NET studio i did a Windows Critical Update
from Microsoft's website. Could this be one of the problems?
