no auto play

This has always worked untill today.
I have no auto play on either my DVDRWor CDRW. It has always worked , but
today it will not auto play any CD's.
Where can i renable this function?

Use TweakUI. If you don't have it, download it from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/default.mspx

Once installed open it. Under the My Computer heading look at the
options in the autoplay section and the sections under autoplay.

Hi Carl,

There is a file here that you can copy to your system and run, it will reset
the autorun defaults:
ftp://rickster.myip.org/WinXP%20Autorun%20fix/

If you cannot access it, go to the Control Panel/Internet Options and on the
advanced tab disable passive ftp.

I did a one day system restore.
Didn't have anything new so i lost nothing.
