New mail - Desktop Alert Settings - Longer than 30 seconds?

Hello.

Win XP, Office Outlook 2003 SP1


When I got a new mail, outlook givs me a "Desktop Alert". Good!
But I want this alert to stay at my screen until I have open the mail, not
only for max 30 seconds.

Is there any way to fix this setting?

I believe I read that there is a registry setting that will allow you to
specify a time longer that 30 seconds, but none to keep it on your screen
until you dismiss it.

Create a rule that displays an alert whenever you receive a message. That
alert will remain until you dismiss it.
