My home network has a problem allowing computers to connect/transfer files
amongst each other. I'm on my laptop, wifi'ed to a D-Link router. Each of my 4
computers(including my laptop) are listed in My Network, but when I click on
another computers HD I get:
"\\Parents\WinXP(C) is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you
have access permissions. Access is denied."
Ok. 4 computers. Parents, 3 kid computers and my laptop. Each computer
hardwired into a D-Link router, each is running XP Home w/SP2. Each has
ZoneLabs firewall with the home network IP range allowed.. All of the computers
can see each other. Only the "Parents" computer can send or receive files to
any of the other computers. None of the kids computers or laptop can connect to
Parents, but can get internet fine.
I'm stupefied as to the settings to allow all computers to transfer files
between each other. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Bill
