Net Broadcasts

Hi everyone, hope someone can help me out with a little
query I have......

Does file and print sharing cause continuous net
broadcasts if a single printer is shared on a windows xp
pro workstation using the sharing tab on the printer
properties screen???

Not continuous broadcasts, no.

If the server service is running ( which it usually is on most machines, and
needs to be if you want to share anything ), then the machine will make
browser announcements broadcasts every 12 minutes or so.

I'd not call that 'continuous'.

The act of sharing the printer or a disk will not add to the broadcast
traffic.
