My window and buttons suddenly changed

From some point, my taskbar and buttons of the windows look ugly, like those
from Window 98!!!
I tried changing it to XP style [???] from 'Display Properties-Windows and
buttons'
but, there isn't any other choices under windows and buttons, other than
'Windows Classic Style'
Please somebody help me to get the cool XP styled taskbar again, sob* sob*
 
Are you saying that when you click open the box that says Windows Classic
Style, there are no other choices?

What I would do:
Figure out the last date when I was SURE that the cool buttons were there.
Do a System Restore.
Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore
