I wasn't sure the best place to put this post, so here
goes: I just replaced my system with a Pentium 4, Windows
Xp Media Edition System. It is on a broadband modem. I am
running Norton Internet Security, and Spybot SD. Anyway,
I have this program, Newsflash, running in my taskbar. I
have no idea what it does, or how it got there. It is
also running on my Windows XP system at work.

It does not show up in the add/remove programs section of
the Control Panel. Does anoyone know anything about this
program: what it does, how it got there, whether I should
keep it, and if so, how to safely remove it?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Jim Silva

Was it bundled with your system? Do you network your home and work systems?
If it is malware, you could have spread it by networking your computers.
Have you looked in the Add/Remove Windows Components applet of the Control
Panel?

This came with a bussiness card software that I bought and
have loaded into a few different comps.I had no problem
just deleteing from My computer> Drive Letter(C: OR D:
ECT)> program files with no problems, It is usless crap,Or
probably used to update the "My Bussiness Card" software
but I never needed to. Aloha!
