GH, it sounds like you need to change your resolution to a lower one:

1) right-click on the desktop

2) select "properties" from the pop-up menu

3) you should get a "Display Properties" dialog. choose the "Settings" tab
near the top of it.

4) close to the bottom of the dialog it will say "Screen Resolution" and it
will have a slider with "Less" and "More" on each side. slide it to the
left to a lower resolution. I would suggest you set it to 800 by 600 pixels
if you want web pages to fill the entire screen, althoug I prefer at least
1024 by 768.

5) After moving the slider, click "OK" If windows asks you to reboot, do
so. If it asks you if you want to keep the settings, click the appropriate
button.

Feel free to experiment with different resolutions until you find one you
like.
