Hi Jarot,
You disk is not actually read-only, what you are seeing is a side effect
of the way Explorer parses directories. For performance reasons, Explorer
does not check every file and folder within a folder for file attributes, so
it shows a green box under the read-only attribute. This indicates that the
folder is in an indeterminate state in regards to read-only files. If, for
instance, a folder contained many thousands of files, it could take an
extended period of time to open.
You can easily test this by going to a nonimportant folder and setting it to
read-only. You can then open the folder and take a look at an individual
file and see that it is in fact marked as read-only with a check mark. If
you then go back and uncheck the folder as non read-only, you will see that
the file is no longer set as read-only, but the main folder will always show
the box in place of the check mark for the read-only attribute.
