Olk

I try to access webpages with internet explorer version
6.0.2800.1106, but sometimes an error message appear
"Microsoft IE has encountered...."
The error signature is as follows:
AppName iexplorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName:
regetapi.dll ModVer 1.4.0.393 Offset: 00029250

Does somebody know what the problem is? And maybe how I can
solve this problem?
What I tried already:
Reinstall iexplorer.exe (More times with different languages)
Checked for updates
Run ANtiVirus programs Local-Norman and via internet Symantec)
No virus found.
Run Spyware programs etc.

The only way for now to access these webpages is with
Netscape, but I like to use iexplorer.exe

Thanks in advance for your help.

Olaf.

I have the same problem. It is really frustrating and I
have no idea what to do. Any suggestionsd out there?

Olk,
regetapi.dll = ReGet Download Manager (is that what you have installed?)
http://www.reget.com/
Try uninstalling via Add Remove, reboot and install a fresh copy.

Tx for your tip, I did install reget, but didn't like it,
so I unistalled it. Maybe that is the problem....
Hope ypu'll still read this, I'm still working with
netscape, but it doesn't like Microsoft very much :-)
I'll let you know the outcome

Olk,
You're welcome .... glad to see you have things resolved.

A lot of times the "patches" for Windows or IE may cause
problems with 3rd party software. So either the 3rd party
has to update their software or simply reinstalling make cure the problem.
