MP3 Players

Hey,

Does anyone have any opinions on MP3 players? Not the really cheap ones, but one which is of a decent standard for going travelling? Things like how much battery time and size of HD is required etc.? Is ipod the way to go? Are ipods only compatible with macs? Total newbie to mp3 players im afraid.

Oh, and whats the best program to rip CD's into mp3 format?

iPods are compatibe with windows. They wouldn't sell otherwise!

As for ripping - Windows Media Player 10, by far the best.

iPods are good, just wait for the price to drop before buying! Look at what creative offer in the way of HDD MP3 players.
