I bought my daughter an mp3 player for her birthday. On my old Pc running
windows 98 everything was fine, so as i plugged in to the usb it was found
and i could drag and drop. I recently got a new pc running windows xp,
everything else is detect when plugged in to the usb ports, printer, modem
etc but not the MP3 player, can anybody help please? she getting tired of
listening to the same songs over and over! kids eh!

thanks in advance

John

It is possible that driver software for the MP3 player is not current
enough. You may want to go to the website of the manufacturer and see if
there is a download available. Obsolete drivers can prevent many devices
from working properly.

Thanks, but the website says it doesn't need any drivers on Windows XP, which
make things even more strange! Does anyone have any ideas, it's my daughter
birthday this week and she wants an mp3 player as well but it will be of no
use until i sort the problem out. I don't really want to have to keep
digging my old windows 98 base pc just for them to be able to use there mp3
players!

Thanks

John
