Just recently (the past two weeks) my mouse has developed an annoying habit.

When I move the mouse rapidly it works just fine, but when I slowly move the mouse (to select a radio button, field, etc) it stops in place until I give it a "shove". I've experienced this on two seperate mice now with the exact same problem occuring.

I'm virus and spyware free and haven't installed any new programs recently. I've tried w/ and w/o the mousepad, but it's still the same problem.

Has anyone else run into this problem, and if so, how did you correct it?

Thanks in advance.

does you mous have a ball? If that is the case its probably dirty.
You can open the thing that holds the ball in place and clean the ball and
the other parts that may have dirt on them.

You should buy an optical mouse.... (but not a wireless one since the
batteries are
more of a problem)

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Hi,

I've completely cleaned both mice completely and updated drivers all to no affect. I'm hesitant to go out and buy another mouse only to have the same problem occur.

I still have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo around, but haven't used it in over a year as it kept locking up XP once the batteries got low.
