Monitor does not come on

Sometimes when I come out of hibernation or when I boot the monitor does not
come out of power save mode (stays black).

I press the power button which cause the computer to go to suspend.

Then push it again and sometimes the monitor will come on; sometimes I have
to repeatedly push the buttons to get the monitor to come on.


Any idea what is going on?

Monitors do go bad,but usually the problem lies in the video card.
