Word Microsoft Word XP Problems

I am running Windows XP OS and I have installed Microsoft Windows XP. Lately when I opened Microsoft Word XP I received the Microsoft Message to submit online and after I clicked on 'Don't Send' I received another message to open Microsoft Word on Safe Mode. I already tried the following:

• Uninstalled Microsoft Office and installed again.
• Activated the activation key.
• Deleted the normal.dot which by doing this the word will open normally but when closed and reopen I will have the same result as above i.e. safe mode.
• Already re installed windows XP but to no avail.

Now I think I have tried everything and my last resort is to format but before doing this is there any one there who has an idea how can I solve this problem without formatting.

first of all is it a legal copy of office xp? (sorry, got to ask to help)

have you had it working ok before?

have you recently installed any updates? eg service pack 2?

Yes, all of my software is legal.

Yes before it was working properly.

No I have not install any updates lately.

Try doing Office update, and windows update.

have you installed any new software recently? anything?

I got an error every time i opened work after i installed software for my PDA... easy to fix!
