microsoft virtual machine

Windows XP-- In set program access and defaults under
choose a default virtual machine for Java Program will
not respond to my choice to enable access or choose
microsoft virtual machine.

Rex,
Are you sure you have the"Java Virtual Machine" installed. Go to:
Start/Run/type "mjview" without quote markers, and hit the Enter key. If you
have the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine installed the version number and
other stuff will appear. The last Microsoft version number ended in 3810. My
advice is to go here and download Sun Electronics latest which may be more
up to date: http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp. I have it and it works fine
for me.
