Should be "Slowest On Web"
www.lowestonweb.com
These are the worst people I have *EVER* had the misfortune of dealing with - NEVER order from these people - my issue with them is still not resolved and they have nearly £400 of my money.
Sound file to go with my plight;
http://www.turbomr2.co.uk/eve.mp3 (160kb MP3 soundfile)
Ordered something from www.lowestonweb.com (part of Evesham Micros) in mid
October, item was showing as "in stock" - no problem thought I, placed order
with debit card, which was authorised and debited - I paid extra for next
day delivery too ("Orders placed before 2pm will be delivered by noon next
day") order was placed at around 10am - so next day I check online to see
order status - still pending, I wait another couple of days and still
nothing, so I email them asking what is happening, no reply - eventually
there is some movement in the order tracking - sadly it tells me stock is
now depleted and I'll have to wait until end of October, even though I had
been charged whilst they were showing stock. "Sh1t happens" thought I, so I
decided to wait. I check back a couple of weeks later and they now have
stock, my order tracking remains stagnant so I email them again - no reply.
In the meantime their newly replenished stock is being sold out (I can see
the stock ticker dropping every time I check the item) I eventually bite
the bullet and call the £1 a minute line - I am told that they have plenty
of stock and there is nothing to worry about, I'll definitely receive my
order within 24 hours. Next day, nothing, no sign of any more movement
online so I call again - I get some apologies and more assurance that indeed
my order will be fulfilled as they have plenty of stock (indeed, he tells me
they are selling to new customers, no backlog) if there is a problem I will
get a call back I am told.- I then check online - it now says "Packed ready
for shipment" - huzzah thinks I! I wait. Next day - check online, order
has gone back a step and is no longer packed (wtf!) - I call them again
(remember this is a £1 a min line) - I am given yet more assurances I'll
receive my order and many apologies - he said he can't understand what has
gone wrong and that I'll definitely receive my order next day. I check
online, again it's back to "Packed ready for shipment" - and again the next
day it reverts to its previous state of not being ready. Finally I call
again to get a handle on what's going on as the stock ticker now shows zero
stock (in other words they've sold the whole lot again to new customers and
honoured orders even though mine has sat there for over a fortnight), I'm
promised a call back - amazingly I actually do get this call this morning
(although I couldn't take it, so it went to voicemail) - as you can hear it
sounds pretty positive - indeed the order again showed as "Packed ready for
shipment" - so today I think it's finally been sorted - tonight I get an
email from them that says this;

"Thank you for your patience. Unfortunately we still have a large volume of
back orders to supply before yours. Due to the high demand for this graphics
card, our suppliers only send them in small quantities and we did not
receive the full quantity.
We are expecting the next delivery of these graphics cards over the next 2
weeks. Our suppliers have not yet confirmed the quantity for the 15th.
If you now wish to cancel this order, please let us know otherwise we will
despatch the products as soon as they arrive.
Kind regards,

How bad is that - total BS in my opinion, I was told they had plenty of
stock and that they were taking orders from new customers. I've been
promised sooo many times that it was 100% coming to me, this is the 2nd time
they've sold their stock to people who have ordered after me. Now, do I
trust their word and wait until the 15th? I fear that I'll just get a
repeat of this episode then and still no goods. In my opinion they should
offer me a near-equivalent product (the better version which they have in
stock) even if it means losing their profit on the sale, after all they have
bummed out on their word many times.
It's infuriating because I can't even call them to rant without being
charged £1 a minute. I also believe that I should be refunded the £1 a min
calls because I was told nothing but a pack of lies each time.
DO NOT buy anything from these people, there is no reply to EMail and there
are no other lines of communication aside from a £1/min premium rate line.
I just wish I could take this further but I know all I'll get is a response
like the one above, totally ignoring the fact I was promised countless
times.
*f'king grrrrrr*

at least you learnt first hand experience not too trust them! it sucks but at least people will be weary from them because of your experience.

i for one, have never had amtrak delv my good, and i avoid them. i e-mailed ebuyer and found out they use amtrak, so im staying away from e-buyer.

i try and find reviews or users experiences with online retailers or delv companies. i know i can trust a few online sites because of peoples experiences which i dont have too go though.

I've not had a problem with lowest on web before, ive ordered 3 9800 pros from there and an AMD XP 3000+ and they all come within 2 days .

Im guessing you've ordered something along the lines of an X800 or a 6800GT/Ultra gfx card, which are in demand across the world! Ati and Nvidia just arnt making them chips fast enough, there was an article over at www.hardocp.com about it a couple of weeks back. Companies are displaying there having them, but they just put you on the waiting list so you buy it from them :/ .

Best thing to do is to try and get your dough back im afraid.

Yeap had the same problems with the X800-XT-PE ordered it many times asked them kindly can u assist me but no dice in the end noticed they lied and said they were getting in 100s of XT-PEs so kept my order with em....

Nothing.

Waste of 2 months waiting for a non existing product, they still have non even till this day got any in stock, wish i got the X800-XT or the XT-Pe elsewhere coulda enjoyed my precious 3 weeks off from work instead of waiting on empty hopes.

My advice: shop elsewhere.
