Lost Tasks in Taskbar

Hi All,

I recently lost my tasks in the taskbar. They are simply no longer showing
up. I can toggle through tasks with ALT+TAB put they won't appear on the
taskbar anymore. I have tried to all Startup Property settings and Toolbar
settings, no success.

I don't know exactly how it happened. It may have to do with the fact that I
had to change to high contrast in the accessibility options for a friend
whose view is handicapped. When I switched back the desktop was not exactly
how it was before, the background image was gone, but I managed to restore
everything except for the tasks in the taskbar.

Any good ideas what I could do aparft from a complete re-installation of XP?
