Lost General Tab on Tools/Internet Options Menu

The general tab that used to appear following 'tools'
and 'internet options' has disappeared. I can not "Clean"
internet files, cookies or even change my home page to
what it used to be. Can anyone tell me how to get it back ?

Start-Run-Regedit

There could be more than one "GeneralTab" value.
Try these keys first and then search for GeneralTab (no space)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel

Remove "GeneralTab" if present.
