I went through the security wizard and managed to lock myself out of Access.
I thought that it would only apply to the file I was working on, but it
locked me out of Access altogether. I tried the password and user ID I
thought I created and then several others that I thought were possibilies.

Do I feel stupid? Yes

Is there a standard log in that the Wizard creates that I can try or is
there another way to get into Access?

What you think is a password created during the wizard is not a password. Try
your login with a blank password. Then get on Google and search for Access
Security FAQ and read for a while. Access security is NOT a trivial subject.

Did you create a new Workgroup file in the course of using the security
wizard?

If so, you're ok: open Access without opening any database; use Tools...
Security... Workgroup Administrator, and Join the default SYSTEM.MDW file
(normally it will be in C:\Windows\System32 but it might be elsewhere, you'll
need to search for it).

Do download the Microsoft Access 2000 Security FAQ:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/207793/en-us

Print it out. Read it... cover to cover... *carefully*. Get a good night's
sleep, and read it AGAIN. When you secure the backup of your database (you
*did* make a backup before running the wizard... right??) follow the steps
meticulously!
