I can just see those linux fanatics weeping, clinging onto their
ubuntu disks! HA!

You do realize that those who use *nux do not use it for most of the
features that Vista is claiming it will have - but for other reasons, right?
If there was truly one OS for everyone - this would be a really dull and
boring world.

Point of fact - fanatics of all types are annoying to anyone willing to see
a bigger picture. =)

i'm sure once vista is out ahile it will become unstable once it starts
getting hit by viruses.

while i will say vista looks nice to the eye. Linux uses almost no power
to run while vista is going to need a very powerful computer.

Dream on. Vista is just XP with some eye-candy. Still nowhere close to being
a real operating system.

Cadillacs need more power than roller skates.

no power? You must be kidding...linux CAN be as slow as snail...

all that depends on what version of linux you are using...
the latest kde needs 196 or 256Mb of ram to work....

The site is not all that new and neither is the info, you've just made a
discovery penny?

:
: User Experience -- That's what WindowsXP was named on
: Security -- That's what they say when XP
is updated
: Search & Organization -- For users that can't I guess
: Internet Explorer 7 -- So now you have tabs in IE
: Sidebar & Gadgets -- Now we need even bigger screens
: Performance -- Enhanced jargon for XP features
: Windows Backup -- Hands up any Windows user that uses ths
feature
: Networking -- Every version of Windows gets that
spiel
: Windows SideShow -- Here comes a massive hardware upgrade.
:
: I can just see those linux fanatics weeping, clinging onto their ubuntu

I can see Win2K and WinXP users holding on to their disks too, awaiting a
resonable price like $AUD 150.00. Then again I'll see what WinXP SP3+ does
to WinXP, might even turn it into Pista.

Then will have to slipstream our slipstream. I'm going to stay with XP
for awhile and see what happens to Kenny.

Bill has plagerized OSX Tiger from Macs to put a pretty look and feel on
top of the already faulty and insecure XP which is and will be even more
bloated with DRM. All of this decribes Vista to a tee. But it seems
his plan like the stage magician con artist is to distract the users
with how pretty and even more teletubby-ish it looks while he pumps in
the DRM and other "features" and pumps the money out of the distracted
users' wallets.

Be real... Bill was given a hard time because he wanted to have a browser
(IE) and
a media player (WMP) on his OS...

Do you really think people will let him do whatever he wants?

things wont get too bad, because then people will go towards other
alternatives.
Bill knows this... he is not a fool.

And in my opinion that is a good role linux (and firefox) has played.. to
get MS moving.
