In Outlook 2000, (and possibly other versions as well) one could choose a
default setting where typing a name into the "To:" field of an e-mail would
cause an automatic lookup in the LDAP directory. I have been unable to find a
similar function in Outlook 2003.
In our office, users have become accustomed to typing in the name of the
recipient which then resulted in an automatic lookup in LDAP and autocomplete
the address field.
In 2003, one can copy and paste addresses from the LDAP directory search
window to the contact list. However, it is MUCH faster to use the method
that worked so well with LDAP in Outlook 2000.
