LCD Questions

Richard Forester

I picked up a Samsung 930b recently and I think it's a pretty good monitor.
Text is sharp and the colors are better than some of the others I've looked
at. There are two things that kind of bug me though.

1. I notice that if I have a solid color on the screen (i.e. when running
Dead Pixel Buddy) that there are dark patches here an there as if the screen
is unevenly lit.

2. When looking at the monitor from a height (like when I get up from my
desk) it appears as if there are "dents" or "bumps" in the screen.

Since I am relatively new to the LCD world I don't know if these are
ordinary problems (perhaps optical illusions) or if I have a defective
monitor. Any help is appreciated.
