£1000 For new pc

Hi, I have been looking to buy a new PC. I have £1000 to spend (including the screen, about £850 if without?). I'm looking for a PC to do some 3dsmax and photoshop in and a bit of high end gaming on the side. I have come up with some results, not entirely sure if they are the best value for money.

Edit: I hear Novatech have a good reputation, this is their one.

They also have a slightly lower spec, cheaper dual core version.


If you know any better value PCs for about £1000 or think I should go with one of these then please let me know.

As for Ebay well the choice is yours however I wouldnt buy a system off of Ebay unless your made of money. If something goes wrong and you gotta send it back!! At a substantial cost to you!!


Overclockers are ok.

Hiya Ruraji and welcome to the Forum

Ok, I'm a little tired, but:

Steer clear of Mesh

Use E-Bay at great risk

Overclockers are ok

Novatech are excellent

The Novatech system is good.

Take a look at the system in my signature, substitute a quad core and that's good.

Seriously consider the fairly new range of Samsung glossy black monitors - they is fab

And I gotta ask - have you considered building your own system? It's always better, cheaper and more satisfying.

If you don't want to or don't feel confident about that - stick to Novatech, OCUK, Kustom PC's and Chillblast.

Thanks for the replies, I am considering Novatech due to their good reputation. If anyone has anything else to add feel free.


Are Cougar Extreme any good? Seems with them you get more for your buck.
