Keyboard and Mouse lock up when computer left on for too long

Whenever I leave my computer turned on for an extended
period of time, unattented, I find that the mouse and
keyboad become unresponsive. I've tried reinstalling the
drivers but it didn't fix the problem. Any suggestions?

Completely Lost

Kinda sounds like your computer is going into Suspend Mode. Go into your
BIOS/Setup and tell it to "Wake on Keyboard" and "Wake on Mouse."

Also, in Device Manager on the Power Management Tab of the keyboard and
mouse you can tell it to allow this device to wake up the computer from
standby mode.
