KB834707 and /3GB SWitch

We have Dell 650's with 3BG of ram.

We installed Microsoft Hot Fix KB834707

And the Machine will not reboot.

error message is "bad system config info"

But if we modify the Boot.ini file not to use the "3GB" switch the
problem is solved.

But we can't use the 3GB of ram any more, only 2GB
