I am probably off topic here but I cannot find anywhere else to ask the
question MS Help doesn't help.

When justifying text in Word and you get a three or four word line at
the end - the three words are spread over the width of the column is
there a way to fix this?

I suggest posting to a Word newsgroup. Look at the ones under
microsoft.public.word like word.newusers or word.pagelayout. When you post
your question specify what version of word.

Nope.

In Word, it is possible to (1) align text left; (2) centre text; (3)
align right; or (4) "justify". You might have chosen "justify". Also,
the offending line might have been ended with a "manual line break",
entered by pressing Shift+Enter. Change the justification to "align
left" or end the line by tapping the "Enter" key.

After you have justified the complete text, have you tried selecting
only that last line and selecting left align?
