Jumping cursor in Outlook email

When writing email in Outlook, if I pause briefly my cursor jumps to wherever
my pointer (the arrow) is. The pointer, of course, is wherever I left it
when I let go of the mouse. This happens repeatedly as I write, so I'm
constantly finding the cursor suddenly in the middle of a word two lines up,
etc. The only way I can keep this from happening is to remove the pointer
from the window. But this is an obvious software problem. Any cures?

Check out your Mouse settings in Control Panel. Disable any 'snap to' or
likely settings.
