.jpg file problem

I have some .jpg files in a folder and they worked perfectly (thumbnails in
Win Explorer were ok; I could open them in Windows Photo Viewer and I could
edit and save them in Photoshop).

Then, I right-clicked and dragged them to a new folder (choosing the "Move
Here" option) and now nothing works (no thumbnails in Win Explorer; "no
preview available" message when I open them (which should invoke Windows
Photo Viewer); and when I try open them thru Photoshop, I get a message that
says the files are "locked" and I should open their Properties in Win
Explorer and "unlock" them (I couldn't figure out how to do that and saw no
"unlock" options in the Properties of these files).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Try uncheck READ-ONLY box. Doesnt explain thumbs tho.

Any advise given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS (Normally, Usually, Generally, Sometimes :)

Thanks, but the Read-Only box is not checked.
