I was planning to buy Mac's "ipod" MP3 for Christmas,it
is apple product, is it compatible with Microsoft OS for
interface, to download music? Thanks for information.

Hi, just get the one that says PC on the box. Apple will give you iTunes
for Windows to transfer and download tracks from the iTunes music store.

NOTE: Tracks downloaded from the iTunes Music Store can not be played in
Windows Media Player, you will need to use iTunes.

Thanks Chris.

You're right, but they can be written to a CD and then copied as
standard mp3's to your computer, for use with ANY player.
