Internet problems with dial-up

I know I'm probably in the wrong newsgroups, but I'm
having problems browsing web pages. I can connect to my
isp and can get emails, but when I try to browse a web
page it gives me "page cannot be displayed". I'm running
IE 6 and have run adaware and spybot to check for spware,
also have disabled all firewalls.....any advice.

You didn't mention having any antivirus software??
it could be malware, host virus, have you kept both copies
of adaware and SB up to date and current with def's??
also try hijackthis. do you use spywareblaster to protect
your host file??
