Internet Explorer ver 6 - Can not get to other Web Sites

I am using AOL as my ISP. When I attach to the internet
my system is using IE as my browser. The only web site I
can get to is my AOL mail box. When I attempt to go to
any other web site I get the message "server can not be
found".

Can anyone help me.
