I get this message every time I go to close IE 6.0 with
SP2. "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
This only started after installind SP2. It is driving me
nuts. Any Ideas to fix this

The same problem is bugging me altho i don't have XP or SP2, i run WIn 2000
SP4 and IE 6 SP1. I sent error reports like a 100 times but no result.

Hi,
This is probably being caused by another program- possibly an adware,
spyware, parasite program.

Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

Additional information at:

More security tips at http://www.aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

Or...
A legitimate program running in the background or an add-on for IE may be
causing this. Disable (for diagnostic purposes) programs such as pop-up
blockers, toolbars, security, anti-virus, etc. Look at any program which
might be interacting with IE. You may have to reinstall (or not reinstall) a
program. One of these programs may need an update to be compatible with XP
SP2.

Hope this helps,
Don
