Intel dropped prices of its processors today, with drops of as much as 52%, reducing its price from $400 US to $193. The 2.2Ghz and 2.26 were dropped by 20%, from $241 to $193 each.

These cuts affect almost all of Intel's processors, including Xeon and its Celeron processors. I won't list them all here, but there's an article here with all the prices listed.

AMD dropped its prices at the same time it launched its 2400+ and 2600+ processors a few weeks ago. The price wars are heating up again, and it can only be a good thing for consumers.
