hi, I would like to know what's the maximum time limit for a pc to be turned
on!! I am not being stupid just curious as my pc running not stop from last
2
days downloading stuff- can this cause any sort of problem?
(Hardware/Software).

You can theoretically leave a PC on forever.
The risks you run are heat related to the PC if it is not adequately
ventilated or faulty.
As regards the software - certain software may have problems that the
developers may not have found, one class of these problems are memory leaks
in which the application over time consumes memory but does not release it
back so eventually causing a failure of the application.

There is no time limit for the maximum length of
time a XP machine can be run without being turned
off or rebooted.
 
I've had XP machines run for 30days + with no adverse problems. About the
only time they would reboot is if the automatic update had a patch.
